You've got that James Dean daydream look in your eye
And I got that red lip classic thing that you like

Taylor Swift’s new music video for her 1989 album track ‘Style’ is out today! Looks simply gorgeous although I haven’t actually watched it yet because I’ve been too excited to post it!

Keep on Tay-Tay, I still love you even for your copyright and Spotify thingies.

We never go out of style ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‘—

Taylor Swift has announced via her multiple social networking accounts that this Friday will see the release of her new music video for ‘Style’ from her latest album, 1989. It’s an understatement to say I’m excited. This album has been my favourite, I think, not necessarily because of the specific songs on there because I adore her old stuff, but because it’s so refreshing and was such a good surprise when I started listening to it. Lots of people were saying how she’s changed her style and I agree, she has, but I think it’s still true to her.

She’s given us a very sneaky cheeky peek which doesn’t help my excitement, and it looks like it’s going to be amazing…!

Stick to your guns…but keep an open mind

I have Spotify, only got it recently but it really has developed my love for music. Before, never bothered. I only really like Owl City and Taylor Swift, maybe a bit of Take That, pretty random, right? But since getting Spotify I have discovered a world of music, covers and different variations. I have found music that I had no idea existed and just today I was sitting on the train listening to various songs that I don’t know but love.

I had always stuck by that, ‘oh I’m not really into music so don’t ask me about my music taste, you wouldn’t understand’. But the truth is now that I’ll listen to virtually anything that isn’t scary sounding or too dubsteppy (yep, that’s the official word, so I hear).

But the one thing that Spotify hasn’t done is take me away from my roots of Taylor Swift. A lot of people scoff at her music and her style, but there was always something in her songs that spoke to me when I was a weeny teen (original, I know, ‘omg it’s like she can read my mind!’). But I really like her. Especially her new album. And I think that’s important. Even though I’ve always stuck by what I like to listen to, no matter what people say about it, I have opened my mind to things that I didn’t think I would enjoy listening to, but do. I’m trying to be like that, I think it’s my New Years resolution, to be more open minded about things. I’ll think on that and update you later what I’m planning to change in my life.. Hm.

First Year’s Final Moments

I gotta say, this first year of uni has gone ridiculously well…and so fast that it actually frightens me. I’m literally now counting down the weeks to when I have to move out of good ol’ shitty Limes Court. Well, it’s not that bad. To some extent. I’m a bit miffed actually that uni’s going this fast, I mean, people did tell me it’d fly by but I didn’t expect it to go fast THIS quickly. No, I know I’m not exactly at the end of my third year – yet – but it’s fast approaching. And it’s still sad. I won’t see a lot of people for a couple of months over summer, which is why I’m staying here for as long as possible. Might try to get a job here…I’ve been looking, but I can’t find it in me to actually apply for one haha.

I won’t go into a lot, as you know I never write much in these posts.. I don’t feel like people want to sit there and read about my life too much…and I can’t be bothered writing pages of rants about how amazing uni is or how unorganised myย particularย uni seems to be. So instead, here’s Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’ which is adored by practically everyone I know… I totally understand why…
